Main tasks
ROLE PURPOSE
Reporting to the Medical, the MSL, will lead the medical and scientific activities within the geography to inform and educate physicians, support staff, payers and any other relevant industry groups on company pharma’s oncology portfolio. The MSL must also support and comply with all relevant internal and external regulations, guidelines and policies at both local and international level.

Scientific Expertise • Establish themselves as an internal and external product and disease state expert including treatment guidelines, protocols, trends, ongoing and planned studies or own and competitor products.
Respond in a timely manner to requests for scientific information as requested from customers.
Communicate and disseminate scientific information across the internal and external stakeholder groups.
Deliver internal and external product and disease state training as required
Monitor and maintain up to date knowledge on all products and companies activities relevant to the disease area.
Become an expert and advise where needed on the access route for products.
KOL Management • Serve as the primary scientific contact with Health Care Professionals at a country level on the specific disease area.
Provide deep and advanced disease state and product information to all stakeholder groups as required
Coordinate and engage in medical interactions with KOLs.
Work cross functionally to connect KOLs with other internal and external parties as appropriate.
Organize specific events as required by the company including KOL led workshops and symposia, advisory board and congresses.
Identify and develop potential areas of medical collaboration with KOLs.
Work with the local, regional, national and international collaborative groups, guidelines committees as needed to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of product and disease state information.
Identify suitable publication projects through ongoing relationships with KOLs.
Identify, work up and propose relevant IIS projects.
Territory Management • Deep knowledge treatment pathways, protocols and practices across define Thorough knowledge of hospitals, KOLs, competitor activities, studies, trends, influencers, formularies, buyers, reimbursement providers across area.
Develop, gain approval for and implement a territory plan and track on a monthly quarterly basis.
Take ownership of medically led projects as agreed with the Medical Manager.
Represent the medical department at national and international meetings, congresses and symposia, draft and collate reports from relevant sessions.
Work within the policies and procedures of companies internal and external regulations at all times.
Act as an ambassador for company at all times.
Produce and implement comprehensive an annual Medical and Scientific plan that anticipate and support the requirement for product and disease information. Where and when necessary, make swift changes to address changing customer needs.
Track and manage OPEX in line with the approved budget.
Requirements profile
Personal Specification
Fluent English Skills.
Life Sciences Degree essential, PhD or MSc preferred.
Technical / Professional Expertise
Strong communicator in a one to one and group setting, verbal and non-verbal using appropriate industry and medical language.
Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies.
Excellent project planning, organization, implementation and tracking skills.
In depth knowledge of market access processes within the geography.
Experience in interpretation and writing of scientific information.
Be able to tailor communication across multiple Health Care Professional groups.
